Surely you have read at some point on Twitter, Instagram, or on one of those social networks your favorite content creator saying: "The first $1000 is always the most difficult. The first 1000 followers are always the most difficult."

When they tell you these things, it's for two reasons:

1. The snowball effect, the more you have, the more you want, each time the snowball gets bigger because your impact is increasingly significant.
2. You unlock new possibilities, elevating your mindset to the next level.

And today, we will focus on the second aspect.

Why earning your first $1000 is always the most difficult, and how you can achieve it:

Understanding the Money Mindset

The notion that the first $1000 is the most challenging to earn is deeply rooted in the psychology of wealth creation.

Many people approach money with a scarcity mindset, believing that opportunities are limited, and financial success is an elusive goal.

This mindset can create a mental barrier, making the initial steps towards financial growth seem more difficult than they actually are.

To break this, you have to start by demystifying money. Stop idolizing it as if it were something hard to attain.

Literally, when I started thinking: "Okay, let's give it a try, for once I'm going to believe it," when I started thinking this way, I began to see results.

And this is because your way of thinking affects how you do things.

And to prove this, I put it into practice.

If I normally ask a client for 3k for a web project, what would happen if I asked for 9k?

Well, I did it, I was confident enough to say, "we'll do this for 9k."

And surprise, what happened? The client said, "let's do it."

Once I closed my first 9k project, everything changed. That mindset we were testing went from being on trial to being something real.

And yes, 90% of our problems are usually due to imposter syndrome, and we are the ones blocking ourselves from opportunities.

Who am I to earn so much money for a website?

But instead of thinking this, think: "But the client will possibly earn 100k thanks to the proper functioning of my website.

9,000€ out of 100,000 is not even 10% of the investment. In other words, investing 9,000 will make me earn 100,000.

For him, 9,000 is nothing, and for you, it's possibly 6-7 months of work or more.

Breaking Down the Barriers

When individuals are just starting their journey towards financial independence, they often lack the experience and understanding of how money works.

The learning curve is steep, and the uncertainty surrounding financial decisions can be overwhelming.

This perceived difficulty is not necessarily due to the inherent challenge of making $1000, but rather the unfamiliarity with the strategies and mindset required to achieve this milestone.

Simply put, uncertainty is what often leads us to insecurity.

The more secure you were in an exam at school is when you had studied more. Well, this applies here in the same way.

The Importance of the First $1000

In this journey, it is crucial to understand the concept of unlocking.

This goes by levels, when you reach $100, you aim for $500, when you reach $500, you want to reach $1000.

And so on.

This will help you unlock new goals and gradually achieve your financial objective.

Each level has its requirements, meaning:

Projects of $1000 are not the same as projects of $10,000, usually more work, more time, more mental pressure, more requirements, more responsibility, etc.

As you increase the price, you increase responsibilities and the type of project.

Money makes money

In short, most of the problems you are encountering are due to self-imposed limitations.

Once you understand that money is simply a tool of exchange and that the value you provide is worth that money, that's when you begin to understand the game of money.

When you understand the game of money, it becomes easier for you to make more money.

Let me explain: When they say that money makes money, it's a mental thing. Once you have the money, it's because you know how to make it; when you know how to make money, it's because:

• You have the right mindset
• You have enough experience
• You have the necessary resources and knowledge

And when you manage to make $1000, you manage to make $2000.

When you ensure that your first project reaches the invoiced $1000, you know how to easily scale it to $2000.

When you create 5 income streams, you know how to create 10 more.

I won't say it's a matter of experience, but it is a matter of mindset.

I come from Spain, a country of hard workers where we have always been told that to make $1000, you have to break your back working.

Since I was very young, I have been taught that you have to suffer to earn a living and you have to sacrifice everything if you want to achieve something because the situation is difficult, and money is hard to come by.

This automatically puts you in a position where you idolize money, and it's not really like that.

And you find yourself in a situation of: "My grandmother at 12 had to go to the fish market to work at 5 in the morning with her mother to earn 500€, and now you're earning your $1000 by making a website with 3 sections on a Saturday.

Times change, and not everyone is born to do the same jobs or dedicate themselves to the same thing; it's always a matter of mindset.

A child who is super intelligent, who has always been called dumb, will believe all his life that he is dumb.

I was always told in university, "Espinosa, you are more technical than creative; this is not for you." And I genuinely thought I wasn't creative until one day in class, a random guy told me, "Wow, what a cool and creative project."

And suddenly I thought, "Wow, I can be creative too."

And then you understand that creativity is learned, not born.

And then you start unlocking new mental opportunities.

It's all in your head.

And yes, this month I earned the same amount that took me 1 year to earn 3 years ago.

It’s easier to make $5000 when you made $1000 already than making from $100 to $1000.

Simply because when you're working towards $5000, your mindset is more prepared.
