🖊️ 20 Lessons From 2023 · The Bunker #68

2023 is officially over. This is what I take away from this year in personal terms.

2023 is officially over.

And truly, looking back, it's been a bit of a bad year overall.

I haven't really achieved the goals I had set for myself (sadly), and on a personal level, I think it has been the worst of all.

While it's true that when problems arise, new opportunities also appear.

Learning to turn problems into opportunities is something I take away from this year.

In 2023, we can't talk about numbers compared to 2022 because everything has remained somewhat the same.

However, what we have done is build systems and create things that will flourish in 2024:

  • I've built powerful systems.
  • I launched koalaui.com
  • Consistently posted right here.
  • Wrapped up some client projects.
  • Wrote two books.
  • Set up my store.

And as a learning experience, this year I have learned to:

  1. Turn problems into opportunities.
  2. Not everything is as serious as it seems. Don’ take life too serious.
  3. Not everything is so urgent.
  4. It is not necessary to sacrifice anything for success; it's a marathon, not a sprint. It's not worth it. Balance is the key to a fulfilling and satisfying life.
  5. Done is sometimes better than nothing.
  6. The way you talk to yourself changes everything. A positive mind finds solutions; a negative mind finds problems.
  7. A man can make millions, a healthy man can make a fortune. Learn to prioritize yourself before being concerned about others.
  8. Consistency without iteration is nothing.
  9. Consistency creates habits that define your destiny.
  10. Authenticity attracts what truly belongs to you.
  11. Gratitude transforms what you have into enough.
  12. Forgiveness.
  13. Don't mold yourself according to others.
  14. Don't do anything you don't feel like doing.
  15. Make time to visit your relatives.
  16. Say thank you more often.
  17. Spend money on what makes you happy.
  18. Invest in yourself in order to make sense of sacrifice.
  19. Find learning opportunities in every bad situation.
  20. Work on your mental health before the storm appears.

Until next time! 👋🏻

Cheers, Jordi Espinosa.
